The Village of Rochester Hills, metropolitan Detroit’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination, will be offering live music, food trucks, arts, performances, and so much more beginning Friday, June 2, 2023. Enjoy yourself and join in on the fun as you stroll around the beautifully landscaped outdoor shopping center and expand your shopping and dining experience.

Each week, The Village of Rochester will host a variety of events that are open to the public, with many events being free of charge! Whether you’re a small child or a senior, an athlete or a musician, there is something for you at The Village this Summer.

The Village of Rochester Hills, conveniently located at the corner of Adams and Walton Road, in Rochester Hills has over 50 unique and sought-after retailers as well as a wide collection of restaurants. Make The Village of Rochester Hills your go-to shopping and outdoor spot this summer!

FITNESS & SUPPORT

Yoga6 is partnering with Leader Dogs for the Blind and hosting a Flow For A Cause Puppy Yoga Class outdoors in Fountain Park on Saturday, June 3 from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm. This $30 suggested, donation-based class will support the training of dogs and programs to assist blind and visually impaired individuals. Guests will enjoy a 60-minute class with puppy playtime to follow. Guests are encouraged to register in advance by calling 248-453-5255.

THE ARTS

The arts are all around us from music and painting to sculpting and performing. You’re encouraged to come out this summer and experience a variety of talented performers.

FOOD & FUN PERFORMANCES

Every Friday this summer, from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm, The Village of Rochester Hills will host a variety of savory and sweet food trucks and showcase performances by local talent in Festival Park. BRAVO Italian Kitchen will also be hosting a Mobile Bar for guests who would like to purchase alcoholic beverages to enjoy in Festival Park during the performances. Each week will bring something new to experience. There will also be lawn games and sidewalk chalk each week. Bring your appetite and your lawn chairs and blankets as you enjoy some free quality entertainment outdoors.

MOVIN’ & GROOVIN’

North Oakland Dance Company will be out in Festival Park entertaining folks of all ages Wednesday mornings during the summer.

Move and Groove during this all-ages event. Experience the love of dance and learn proper techniques and moves that will have you coming back for more week after week.

MUSIC & ME

Mommies and Daddies, Grandmas and Grandpas, Uncles and Aunts are invited to bring their little ones Wednesday mornings during the summer to The Village to partake in our free Music & Me program. Children will be able to sing, dance, and interact with each other during these fun morning performances. Bring a blanket and be prepared to be inspired by the musical talents of your children. This class is geared toward children from birth to five years old. The program recognizes early childhood music for infants to kindergarteners with adult involvement.

FINE ART AT THE VILLAGE ART FAIR

The Fine Art Fair is back at The Village of Rochester Hills celebrating its 19th year. This two-day event will host approximately 75 artists from across the United States, with over half coming from Michigan. Artwork in all faucets will be featured including ceramics, glass, paintings, drawings, multi-media, sculpture, photography, fiber art, wood, jewelry, and more. This free event will feature artist booths, food vendors, and family-fun entertainment all weekend long.

  • Sunday, July 30

DUELING PIANOS

Each month Mobile Dueling Pianos will be on-site in Festival Park energizing the crowds with a free high-energy, interactive rock n roll, comedy show that will be something all ages will enjoy. Anyone in the crowd can request any song, and the piano players will play it!! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to sing, dance, and clap along!  BRAVO Italian Kitchen will also be hosting a Mobile Bar for guests who would like to purchase alcoholic beverages to enjoy in Festival Park during the performances.

  • Saturday, June 17 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Saturday, July 29 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Saturday, August 26 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

EDUCATION

Bugs on Wheels will be hosting free visits with bug experts Tuesdays this summer. They will be in Festival Park for two educational sessions, one at 11:00 am and the other at 6:00 pm. This experience gives both children and adults the opportunity to better understand and appreciate how amazing, important, and not-so-scary bugs really are. Attendees will be educated and entertained as they see, touch, and hold some amazing little creatures. Guests, donut need to be afraid of the bugs when they grab a delicious treat from the Little Donut Factory which will be on-site selling donuts during each visit.
