Back to the Office! But, What Should I Wear?

Back to the Office! But, What Should I Wear?

Most of us are going back to work in an office place in the fall. Many of you are probably getting anxious and wondering what to wear. After so many months in sweat pants or pajama pants, it’s finally time to wear real clothes. I don’t deny that I’m very excited about it. I love to get dressed and feel good about what I’m wearing. I love to look in the mirror and “impress” myself with a look that is professional and that represents my job position and personality.

The workplace attire could be very professional or simply casual; in any case, make sure you look polished and professional. Remember that in your workplace you want to send a message of integrity, reliability, competency, creativity, approachability, and professionalism.

So, let start with some of my favorite and essential pieces for Fall. When heading back to work, consider these options:

Statement Handbag

pink purse

If you have your own office and keep your items at work, a small statement purse is all you need. If you need to carry your computer and work stuff each day, carry a big shopper bag, big enough to carry your iPad, computer, documents, etc. Or, the other option is to use a crossbody for all your personal belongings and a purse case where you can carry your work materials.

Pencil Skirt

Yes, they are comfortable! If you pick a stretchy material, a pencil skirt could be totally your perfect look for a long day at the office. This fall experiment with some texture. Like this python patterned skirt shown above. You can wear it with so many different types of tops and jackets.

T-Shirt

You can pick a simple t-shirt or have some fun with a graphic t-shirt. For me, I love a colorful t-shirt, especially if it has some artistic touch to it.

Good Pair of Pants

pink pants

Make sure they fit you perfectly and the length is perfect when you wear them with your favorite work shoes.

White Blouse

white button down shirt

A good white blouse looks good with…..EVERYTHING! Jeans, pencil skirt, pants, blazer, suit, shorts….literally with everything and you can wear it everywhere.

Blazer

blazer and yellow pants

A good blazer always makes every look more professional and impeccable. Just make sure it fits you properly. A good blazer should not be longer than your hipbone, and the sleeves should not cover up the top of your hand
