What:               It’s that time of year again! 104.3 WOMC, Detroit’s Christmas hits station, will be broadcasting live at its annual Santa’s Toy Castle event that will be held at the new Kroger Marketplace in Shelby Township. Guests can donate un-wrapped toys at the event for less fortunate children which will be collected and distributed by The Salvation Army just in time for the holidays.

WOMC air personalities (Bobby Mitchell, Stacey DuFord, Holly Hutton, Jim “JJ” Johnson, Beau Daniels and Dave Fuller) will be broadcasting live from outside the Kroger Marketplace on Friday from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. There will also be family-friendly activities where children can participate in arts and crafts, as well as photos with costumed Christmas Characters including Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and more!

Last year, more than 8,000 toys were collected. This year, the goal is to collect 10,000 new and unwrapped gifts for children and teens. In addition to the December 12 and 13 collection dates, toys can also be donated at local participating The UPS Store locations from now until noon on Tuesday, December 9. Each UPS store will have special bins to collect toys for Santa’s Toy Castle.
