We love hamburgers around here – but the old ketchup, mustard and pickle thing can get really old. Every now and then I like to try something a little different – and for some reason I remembered this dill pickle dip my sister used to make years ago. She used to make this dip for potato chips that we would have whenever we had a babysitter. I also remember splitting soda’s to go along with our special dip, whoever poured had to pick their glass last! Those glasses were as equal and equal could be. Anyway – we tried the dip on burgers the other night and thought it made an excellent hamburger topping. It’s delicious and something a little different. It’s a mixture of Philadelphia Cream Cheese and Dill Pickles.
We stopped in Walmart to pick up supplies for my son’s birthday party and also grabbed the ingredients for the burgers; Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Dill Pickles and Hamburger Buns. There are a ton of Kraft Cheese products to choose from – we also tried the Kraft Natural Cheese Big Slices in the Jalapeno flavor on some of our burgers and they were awesome too, just the right amount of kick!

One pound ground chuck or sirloin
One 8 ounce package of Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese
One jar of Dill Pickle Slices
One small jar of Dill Relish
4 Hamburger Buns
Soften the Cream Cheese to room temperature
Add 4 Tablespoons of Dill Pickle Juice to the Cream Cheese
Fold in 3 Tablespoons of Dill Relish then set aside
Grill Hamburgers until they are well done
Assemble burgers with a large tablespoon of the Cream Cheese Mixture
Add Dill Slices and Lettuce
You can adjust the amount of dill pickle juice use based on how tart you like the topping to be.
