Electronic Recycling Event in Rochester Hills

Electronic RecyclingThe Rochester High School Green Club is hosting an electronic recycling event on Saturday, October 19th from 10am – 2pm at the Rochester High School parking lot.  By participating, not only will you be helping the Green Club raise money, you’ll be helping to keep these items out of the landfills as 5R Processors will be recycling various parts of items donated.

Because of the process involved in recycling electronic items, there is normally a nominal fee involved, but this one is FREE (with the exception of units containing Freon; those carry a charge of $25).

All hard drives will be wiped clean, free of charge.  If you choose, you can upgrade to a “Department of Defense”-approved wipe for an additional $10.

Almost all electronics are accepted including printers, computers, monitors, VCR/DVD players, video/stereo equipment, other consumer electronics, wires & cabling, stoves, washers & dryers, etc.

Please do not bring biohazards, liquids, broken glass, light bulbs or bare CRT tubes.
