Yesterday it was zucchini and today it’s blueberries – finding ways to use the fresh produce available right now. We picked quite a few blueberries and this is one of our favorite recipes. We make it every year after picking blueberries in the Holland/Grand Rapids area. It’s really easy to throw together.
1 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
1 ½ cup vanilla bean ice cream
¼ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Whirl all the ingredients together in the blender until well mixed. I do not add any sugar to this recipe but you can if you prefer. This should make enough for two small shakes or one big one! Top with whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
