Mungi Bands – the Fun New Jewelry for Kids. *Review and Giveaway*

Have you seen these new silicone bands that click together and stay together with a magnet?  They’re called Mungi Bands (pronounced moon-gee). They come in really cute designs for either boys or girls.  They’re intended for kids ages 8 and up and cost around $7 for a package of three bands.

It takes two to make a bracelet, but you can click more together for a necklace.   They stick to anything metal – our refrigerator was decorated with them for a while.  The Mungi website also shows girl using them in their hair for ponytail holders.

We received a few packages from Mungi so we could see what they were like.  My son liked them and wore them to school around his wrist.  He shared the girl designs with one of his friends and she really liked them too.  Neither one of them had seen them at the school yet. The designs are really cute and there are quite a few different ones to choose from.

For boys there are sports themed bands, skateboards, mustaches, rock star and skulls to choose from.  For the girls there are shoes, sunglasses, princess themes, peace signs and flowers.  You can see all the designs on the Mungi Bands website.

I think they’re cute and priced just right for the kids to collect or give out as party favors.  The strength of the magnet is perfect for holding the bands together without worrying about losing one.  Could they be the next big thing for kids?  You can find them at specialty toy stores or you can purchase them online at www.mungibands.com

One lucky Detroit Mommies reader will win a Mungi Band prize pack with 3 packages of the bands – a total of nine bands.  The winner can choose which three sets they would like. Click the  rafflecopter link below to enter the giveaway contest.
