High Five and Trade Texts

Two of my girls are 6 and 8… first grade and third.  The first grader is in the early stages of reading and writing and the third grader is a spelling whiz.

I received some text bands from Hallmark and I though maybe my girls would like them, but I wasn’t 100% sure what they would think.

I was blown away.  I opened the boxes and put them on their wrists and then pulled out the instructions, so I could teach them how to use their new text bands.

The instructions were great!  Once I read through them once and showed them what buttons to push the were texting and bumping, texting and throwing up high fives and having a great time sending messages back and forth to each other.

We went to the mall and my 6 year old kept wanting to stop so she could text words she was finding on signs, on walls and on banners.

They texted all.day.long and then the next day and the next.

They love the text bands because they get to send messages back and forth and I love them knowing they are helping the girls educationally.

They are $14.99 each and additional fashionable bands are $4.99.  You can find them at your local Hallmark store.

Disclosure: I was sent Text Bands from Hallmark because I could not attend their BlogHer event.  All the opinions in my post are true and my own.
