Chicago’s 15th annual Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair

One of the biggest and most exciting Antiques Fairs in theMidwestreturns to The Merchandise Mart April 27-30. Showcasing more than 120 of the world’s top dealers of antiques and fine art (including three dealers fromMichigan), the 15th annual Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair isChicago’s ultimate treasure hunt.  From the seasoned collector to anyone with an appreciation for timeless design, shoppers will find a wonderfully diverse array of art, antiques and jewelry from antiquity to 20th Century modernism.

I personally love going to antique shops and shows just to dig around and see what I can find.  Lately it seems like old industrial pieces are making a comeback and items that can be repurposed or up-cycled.

One of the unique features of this show is the Designer Vignettes where antiques are blended with contemporary furnishings.
Known as the Midwest’s premier Antiques event, the Fair offers a wide range of media and categories such as 20th Century Design, Americana, Architectural Design, Asian Art & Antiquities, Books, Ceramics, Clocks, Decorative Arts, Folk Art, Furniture, Glass, Jewelry, Paintings, Posters, Prints, Maps, Sculpture, Silver, Textiles and Tribal Art.
