DIA Family Sundays in August

Make Sunday fun by visiting the Detroit Institute of Art for their Family Sundays Program.  Each Sunday brings fun and exciting entertainment for the whole family with a wide variety of performances.  Here is the line up for the remainder of August 2011.  The performances change monthly.  Admittance to these special events is included in your general admission charge:  Adults – $8, Seniors – $6, Youth (6 – 17) – $4 and children age 5 or younger – Free.  Watch for a special FREE program coming this September. Puppet Performance:  The Emperor’s New Clothes

One the kids will surely enjoy – the Roz Puppets’ funny take on an old favorite about a clever weaver who clothes a vain emperor in beautiful garments that no one else can see.

The paintings of Tim Marsh explore the natural world.  He uses dramatic patterns, bold shapes, and vivid color palette to create a gorgeous view of nature’s beauty.
