The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village

It’s been awhile since my last visit to Greenfield Village in Dearborn.  We were there last weekend for the Thomas the Train visit.  They run this event every year and it draws quite a crowd of young train lovers.  While the weather was absolutely miserable – we still managed to enjoy ourselves.  We rode the Thomas the Tank Engine Trolley around the village and then stopped by some of the special activities they had set up for the event.  Then we stopped in the Michigan Café for a bite to eat – yummy huge chocolate chip cookies.

We plan on making a return visit to catch a show at the IMAX and to visit the Henry Ford Museum – maybe on a hot summer day to beat the heat.    Children love visiting to learn about how things were done years ago – or as my son says “this is pre-historic!”  We are lucky to have such a place in our area.

We received complimentary tickets for the Thomas the Tank Engine event.
