Our home was recently plagued by an awful stomach virus. It went from one child to the next and lasted 72 hours. Fortunately, my husband and I bypassed getting the virus and I think our execution for survival was key.

Stomach virus survival list:
Hand soap hot water
Bucket
Lots of grocery store plastic bags
Hand sanitizer
Pedialyte (fruit punch)
Pedialyte pops
7 up
Towels
Laundry detergent
Pull ups
Clorox wipes
Lysol
Jello
Chicken noodle soup
Tea
Saltine crackers
flipflop wine (for mom)

After 48 hours of non stop vomiting, I got scared that my daughter would suffer from dehydration, so I took her to the doctor’s office.  He suggested a regimen of sips of Pedialyte every 10 minutes for 12 hours.  If she survived the 12 hours without vomiting, she could move onto tea, soup, jello and saltine crackers. The virus ended with diarrhea, that’s where the Pull-ups came in handy.

My husband and I washed our hands like germ-a-phobes until they were cracking.  I did laundry all day and all night… the virus is a doosey!

Once everyone was on the upswing and the road to recovery looked promising, I cleaned the house from head to toe.  Every light switch, counter top, door knob, ect got cleaned.  After a long day of cleaning, mama enjoyed a delicious glass of Riesling by FlipFlop wines.

FlipFlop wines sent me some wine to sample.  I loved the Riesling!  A review of the wines will be coming soon.

We went through that once when we had to give my son Pedialyte through a syringe every fifteen minutes for five hours. It was brutal. This is a great list!
