There are few blogs that I can honestly say I have followed for years but Matt Logelin has one. MattLogelin.com was one regular man’s blog about his wife’s bedrest before the birth of their daughter Madeline. Within 27 hours of Madeline’s birth, her mommy died of a pulmonary embolism, leaving Matt a widowed single-dad. All the dream of their family were suddenly changed and Matt was left to grieve, morn and raise a baby girl all on his own.

Well, not exactly. That little blog started generating lots and lots of hits. Strangers sent packages, diapers, tips and books to help Matt navigate the uncharted waters he was suddenly faced with. More and more people started reading and the national media picked up his story. After all of the attention to his story, Matt decided to help out other widowed single-parents through a foundation in memory of his wife and Madeline’s mother. The Liz Logelin Foundation was formed and donations started coming in. The foundation was able to provide the basic essentials to those who were suddenly without their partner and their child’s parent.

Even with the blog, the thousands and thousands or readers demanded more. Matt Logelin responded. He wrote a book.

“Two Kisses for Maddy” comes out on April 14.

Is it cheating to say I don’t have a favorite?! I love different ones for different reasons…the one my husband likes the most are the money saving ones! I love heartfelt ones, like Matt’s blog. He seems like such a wonderful person.

I would love to win this book! I have a big heart and have been touched by this story ever since I heard about it. Amazing! This is a blog I have been following for several years. It’s about a young girl who has dealt with cancer. Her dad is the person who does the blog. How could you not fall in love with dear sweet Abby? https://www.riggsfamilyblog.com/

I was pregnant with my daughter when Liz Logelin’s tragedy happened and I found Matt’s blog. I too have been following their story, and I can’t wait to see his book. I still cry thinking about Liz, and I have no connection to their family besides being a stranger on the internet whose life their story touched. I am most certainly entering this giveaway!

I think one of my favorite blogs related to family is soulemama’s blog (soulemama.com). I love her recounting of farm life in Maine, filling their days with creativity, art, but the hustle and bustle of a big family too. It’s wonderful!

I read many book blogs. Bookin with Bingo is a favorite. I also love to read #FreeAnissa. She is my hero with her terrific improvements following her strokes at such a young age. She inspires me.

I actually read Matt’s blog regularly! And I have since it started – I am so inspired by him and how he raises his daughter. And so happy he’s found happiness again with Brooke.
