Macomb Center presents ‘Romeo and Juliet’

Before you take the kiddies to see “Gnomeo and Juliet” in theatres, take a trip to the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts to see the theatre’s adaptation or “Romeo and Juliet.”

The Acting Company and the Guthrie Theatre directed by Penny Metropulos present William Shakespeare’s classic at 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13.

Shakespeare’s iconic romantic tragedy of innocent young lovers falling victim to family hatred and cruel destiny…swords clash, everlasting love is promised, and a treacherous sleeping potion is swallowed in the greatest love story of all time. Young love has never been as delightful or as dangerous as in this stirring new production.

Gold Circle tickets are $30 and house tickets are $25. Special pricing of $5 is available for all students. There is a $5 /ticket discount for seniors (55+), military and Macomb Community College staff with ID.

For more information, visit the “Romeo and Juliet” event web page  on the Macomb Center website.
