Feed the Hungry — See a Free Movie

96.3 WDVD & 93.1 Doug-FM present Canned Film Festival, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at MJR Digital Cinemas.

Anyone who brings at least five cans of food to any MJR Digital Cinema (excluding the Adrian location) will get free admission to any movie, that day only, any time from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.  It’s a “win-win” situation to help feed the area’s hungry while getting to see a first-run movie!

96.3 WDVD’s Morning Show, Blaine and Allyson in the Morning, will be broadcasting live from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the MJR Southgate Digital Cinema 20 located at 15651 Trenton Road, Southgate, MI 48195.

All canned food donated during the Canned Film Festival will be collected and distributed by Gleaners Food Bank to food providers in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Livingston Counties. Kroger has issued a challenge to the public: for every Kroger brand canned good donated, Kroger will MATCH the donations up to $1,000! Last year’s Canned Film Festival was highly successful with over 8,000 people attending the five MJR Digital Cinemas and donating 45,000 pounds of food!
