“Women can spend the weekend with friends; meet new people; learn outdoor skills; and participate in fun activities,” Recreation Program Supervisor Derenda Howard said. “This is always a fun weekend for women to get together and play outdoors.”

Women are immersed in nature while participating in recreation and teambuilding activities, including: mountain biking, geocaching and paddling. Cost is $75/person and includes all fees, equipment, instruction and food.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own tent, sleeping bag, pillow and a food item to add to the community soup pot for dinner.

The experience begins on Saturday at 10 a.m. and concludes on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Pre-registration and payment are required by Friday, Sept. 17. To register, visit the Events Calendar on DestinationOakland.com.
