Oakland County Parks and Recreation and the Riverbend Striders host the Hidden Forest Trail Run and Walk at Independence Oaks County Park on Sunday, Oct. 10.

Races include a 2.5-mile run and walk, 5.5-mile run and 8.5-mile run.

“The race course cuts through hardwood forests on wood chip trails, making it a great place to race during the fall season,” Race Coordinator John Gault said.

Early registration is $17/person and includes a long-sleeve shirt; or $8/person without the shirt. Early registration ends Oct. 3.

Late registration is $20/person with a long-sleeve shirt; or $10/person without the shirt. Shirts cannot be guaranteed to those who register on race day.

Race day registration begins at 8 a.m. All races start at 9:30 a.m. at the Twin Chimneys Pavilion.

Awards are presented in respective age groups.

Independence Oaks Park is located at 9501 Sashabaw Road in Clarkston.
