As summer gets underway and the kids get out of school, there is plenty of fun for them to have at the Rochester Community House, no matter what their age.

For the youngest children, low-cost, high quality summer pre-school is offered.

For children ages 1 1/2 to 2 1/2, Quality Time for Parents & Children is hosted for parents to help stimulate their children through teacher-instructed song, stories, creative movement and crafts. Activities will encourage developmental skills while promoting a parent-child relationship and positive self-esteem. The classes will be 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesdays, July 7-Aug. 11. The cost for the six-week course is $45 and includes material fees.

For the older tots who may not be heading to school quite yet, there is the All About Me course which will be 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, July 6-Aug. 10. During the six-week course, 4-year-olds will develop social skills such as self-control, sharing and following directions, while building self-esteem through stories, song, organized play and crafts in a cozy environment. The cost for the course is $68 and includes a snack and materials fee.

All pre-school courses are taught by Renee Dabrowski, a lifelong Rochester resident who has a bachelor’s degree in art and elementary education.

Pre-registration is required for all classes. Call 248-651-9754 or visit www.rochestercommhouse.org. Rochester Community House is at 816 Ludlow in Rochester.  <https://www.rochestercommhouse.org>
