Imagine being a little tike running on the huge meadow at Edsel & Eleanor Ford House on a crisp spring morning and collecting colorful, treat-filled eggs! An annual favorite for more than 15 years, Ford House’s Easter Eggstravaganza is set for Saturday, April 3 at 10 a.m.
The morning will be filled with egg-citing activities for families to create wonderful memories together, like a visit with the Easter bunny for the perfect photo opportunity (and a gift from the floppy-eared fellow!).
After collecting their treat-filled eggs, children and their families can get up close to some new furry friends in a petting farm. And new this year, youth from Grosse Pointe Theatre’s improv group will be on hand to lead kids in fun Easter Bunny games. Local recycling favorite Arts & Scraps will also be on hand to help attendees unleash their creativity with a springtime craft.
And, of course, attendees are invited to walk the grounds and stop in at the children’s favorite building at Ford House – Josephine Ford’s Play House.
As always, the event goes on rain or shine, so guests are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.
A limited number of tickets are also available for a special Bunny Lunch in the Activities Center. Guests will enjoy a kid-friendly menu of pinwheel deli sandwiches, baked chicken tenders with dipping sauces, macaroni and cheese, brownies and cookies.
Tickets for Ford House’s Easter Eggstravaganza are $8 per child and $6 per adult. The Bunny Lunch can be added for an additional $10 per person. The event is recommended for children ages 2-8.
