Saying Thank You Matters

Saying, “Thank you,” is very important not only when someone gives you a gift, but also when someone does something nice for you.

The proper way to say, “Thank you,” is with a card and it only takes a few lines, a few minutes and a stamp.  This simple gesture will mean a lot to the gift giver because you are telling them that their thoughtfulness meant something to you and that you like their gift or gesture.

I am trying to teach my daughters the importance of a handwritten thank you note and one way I am doing this is by providing each daughter with their own set of thank you cards and then sitting down with them and helping them fill the cards out.

For Christmas I ordered a set of thank you cards for each daughter with the balance of my Tiny Prints gift card.  I ordered these for my oldest daughter, these for my middle daughter and these for my baby…you can never start too early!  Then I ordered address labels with all three girls’ first names for them to use when mailing their thank you cards to friends and family that don’t live locally.

They have a sense of pride after filling out their cards and they were excited to have their own address lables.

Instilling this important gesture now will set them up for success in the future!
