The magic of the holidays really came alive last night when my husband and I attended the DSO concert Home for the Holidays, conducted by Thomas Wilkins, at Orchestra Hall.

I can’t even describe to you how magnificent the sounds were that flowed through the air… my ears were in heaven! Harps, bells, strings, horns, choir singers and voices, like Kisma Jordan, that were heaven sent engulfed the hall and moved the audience to standing ovations more than once.

There was even a bit of humor when a group of Santa’s, Grosse Pointe South High School Pointe Singers, tap danced their way across the stage.

There wasn’t one yawn in the house. The evening flowed along in pure harmony and joyful sounds. The audience was captivated.

You better bet I will be there again next year! This is one concert that should be on your calender in holiday 2010!
