Whenever you go to someone’s home for dinner or are invited to a party, you are suppose to bring a gift of some sort, according to Miss Manners.  It’s up to you how much you’d like to spend and what you’d like to give to the host/hostess.  You can grab a bottle of wine or a bunch of flowers, but here are some ideas to help you in choosing the perfect gift for a New Years Party invite:

  1. Wine Charms–  These can be used for champagne flutes as well and make a nice gift for someone who loves to entertain!
  2. Wine Stopper–  When the cork won’t fit back into the wine bottle or just to add a nice touch, a wine stopper is the perfect gift.
  3. Wine–  When it’s a last minute invite and you don’t have much time to hit your local gift shop, you can’t go wrong with a bottle of wine.  If you have a local winery, bringing a special bottle of local wine is a great way to support the community!
  4. Personalized Cheese Plate and Knife Set–  This is a great gift for an entertainer and one gift that most won’t buy themselves.
  5. Calender–  It’s a new year, so a calender seems appropriate!  Also, if your hostess loves to entertain, she/he will need a calender to keep track of the parties.  Fine one that is unique and has plenty of room for events.
  6. Gift Card to Tiny Prints– Talk about a useful gift!  At Tiny Prints your hostess can buy personalized thank you cards, address labels, invites and so much more.
  7. A Box of Goodies– Your local candy shop for a candy treat is a great hostess gift idea for just about any hostess.  Just make sure you know dietary requirements and food allergies of your hostess.
  8. A Candle or Picture Frame–  Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross are a great places to buy candles and picture frames.  They usually have a large selection and a variety of nice choices.
  9. An Inspirational Book–  Who doesn’t need a little inspiration and a new year gets everyone in the mood for some extra inspiration.
  10. A Fun Board Game–  It’s toward the end of the New Year’s Eve evening and the guests that have survived the longest and are waiting for the ball to drop are starting to yawn.  A fun board game is the perfect way to keep the party alive.
