“Wonderful” Holiday Theatre Options in Livingston County

Livingston County is offering many theatre choices this holiday season starting with The Community Theatre of Howell’s presentation of “Oklahoma!”  This classic tells the story of two young cowboys who win over their sweethearts in the Oklahoma territory at the turn of the century.  Featuring musical favorites “Oh What a Beautiful Morning, ” and  “People Will Say We’re in Love,” “Oklahoma!” will be performed at the Howell High School Freshman Campus on Friday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, November 21 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students and seniors at the door.   The Howell High School Freshman Campus is located at 1400 W. The Brighton High School drama club will perform “Mona” at Brighton Center for the Performing Arts.  This comedy about famous art pieces that come to life will be presented Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 at 3:30 p.m.  Tickets at the door are $12 for adults, $8 for students and $5 for children under 5.  For more information call 810-229-1419.  The Brighton Center for the Performing Arts is located at 7878 Brighton Road, Brighton, MI  48116.

On November 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. the Hartland Players will present “A Christmas Story” at the Hartland Performing Arts Center.  The classic story of Ralphie a young boy growing up in the 1940’s who dreams of owning a Red Rider BB gun and all the opposition he finds as he tries to convince the world it’s the perfect gift.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors/students and are available at the main branch of the Cromaine Library and Hartland Big Boy.  One dollar of each ticket will be donated to Adopt a Family Christmas program.  Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available before the performance and during intermission and the House of Fudge will be selling homemade fudge for those early Christmas shoppers and donating a portion of their sales to Adopt a Family Christmas Program.  The Hartland Performing Arts Center is located at 9525 Highland Road in the Hartland Educational Support Service Center.  For more information visit www.hartlandplayers.org or call 810-632 5849.
