We just saw the commercial for a new Dora doll called Dora Links and my 3 year old is super excited about the doll and has to have it. It looks like the new Dora that was causing a controversy earlier this year because they decided to make a tween version of Dora and moms were outraged by the thought of Dora growing up… plain lame to me… everyone has to grow up one day and I think they did a great job of keeping Dora cute like she has been since you toddler years.

The collection is called Dora Explorer Dolls and includes friends for Dora and of course accessories too.

At www.DoraLinks.com, girls can explore, play games, customize and–most importantly–solve mysteries with Dora and her friends! By plugging the Dora Links doll into a computer, girls can access Doras brand-new, exclusive interactive online world. And, through this exciting new innovation in computer-connected play, as girls are playing with Dora in her online world, they can customize their doll and watch as she magically transforms right before their eyes. For example, by changing Doras hair length online, the Dora Links doll magically changes as well. Plus, as girls explore and solve online mysteries, the dolls speech will change to correspond with their play.

I’m positive Dora Links will be on my daughters Christmas list! She’s just so darn cute!

I can’t even believe there was a controversy. Lame, indeed! My almost eight year old has grown up watching Dora, but stopped watching a little over a year ago. She outgrew Dora. Understandable. I couldn’t believe how happy she was to see Dora growing up, just like she has. She was soooo excited!

Maybe some of those outraged moms need to grow up… or a hobby.
