It’s Time for Cider and Donuts at Yates

A tradition for families since 1876, Yates Cider Mill is open and ready for business.

Surrounded by 1200 acres of park there are plenty of areas for having a picnic with the family and trails for walking.

Cool off with a cider slushy or a hand dipped ice cream cone on the warmer fall days and warm up with an apple turnover and a warm cup of cider to take off the chill on the cooler fall days.  Yates also has knackwurst, hot-dogs, cinnamon almonds, kettle corn, cotton candy and popcorn.  What a great place to go for lunch on a beautiful fall weekend day.

There is a petting farm and pony rides for the kids and the Frankenmuth Fudge Shop is open seven days a week starting in September.

Beginning in September the apple tent opens where you’ll be able to bag your own apples from bulk boxes that came straight from the orchard.  Over a dozen varieties will be available throughout the fall.

The mill is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday perfect for grabbing some donuts on your way to work.

On the weekends the mill is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is crowded, so go early if you want to beat the crowds.

Be sure to check out the Yates Cider Mills new site!  It’s adorable!
