Starting on Friday, August 21 Kensington Metropark is hosting a variety of outdoor events.  All events require reservations by calling 800-447-3178 x. 5188 and a car entry fee to the park.

Visit at 8 pm on August 21 for Calling All Owls.  Separate fact from fiction and attempt to locate resident screech owls.  The cost is $2.

On Saturday, August 22 at 1 pm discover how to plan an all-you-can-eat restaurant to attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your back yard with Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardening.  $2

Make Your Own Animal Tracks on Sunday, August 23.  Learn how to identify different animal tracks, then make a plaster track to take home.  $2

Saturday, August 29 at 1pm is Exploring a Pond.  Get an up close look at a pond including the plant and animal life that live under, on and above the pond’s surface during this hands-on family program.

Sort out the facts from the fiction on Sunday, August 30 at 2 pm with the program Spiders & Friends.  $2
