It’s so important that we read to our children and Dr. Seuss made reading fun by creating books that peek the creative inspiration of children everywhere with quirky characters, having silly names, doing even sillier things.
The Commerce Township Community Library is hosting a fun, FREE event today from 6:30-8 p.m. to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday. All ages are welcome to the event which will have crafts, games and activities related to Dr. Seuss’s books.

Simple, Yet Quirky Invites from Tiny Prints

My daughters birthday is this month and it will be her first school mate invited party…you see, she’s in kindergarten, so the rules change and a party at home with mom, dad and siblings just won’t fly.
It might be ok if we were still living in California where the rest of the family members live and where lifelong friends live, but here it’s just us, which just isn’t as much fun…according to “The Princess.”
Anyway, Tiny Prints gave me a pretty hefty gift card to use and review their products, ordering process and delivery to report my findings to you, the consumer and well, so far, not a single complaint. If anything, so far, the experience has been ever so delightful and I wonder who the mastermind behind the operation is because I’d love to meet them and tell them what a shape ship they are running…but, they probably already know that because *ahem* they are perfect ya know!
Anyway, we decided to choose the invitation you see above. I loved it at first sight and crossed my fingers that “The Princess” would feel the same way. She did. We ordered the cards on rush delivery because we procrastinated on ordering and planning.
The invites arrived in enough time for my daughter to write her classmates names on the envelopes and pack into her backpack to take to school and hand out to her friends. They were perfect!
Sheesh…planning and executing a party for a charity event…no problem, but planning and executing a party for a 6 year old…priceless! The things we do for our kids!
