AT&T U-verse Santa Tracker

U-verse 3 Color att-uverse-santa-tracker

With Christmas ONLY 1 week away, my 6 year old daughter is literally going crazy! All she talks about is Santa, her Elf on the Shelf – Noddy, and what she wants or who she is buying gifts for! We have many traditions in our home. Noddy, our Elf comes on Thanksgiving to report to Santa daily. We always receive new jammies on Christmas Eve so, Santa sees us all neat & clean with our new jammies on. Another tradition is watching the AT&T U-verse Santa Tracker app! The AT&T U-verse Santa Tracker App allows families to play holiday games, listen to holiday songs on “Rudolph Radio,” and track Santa’s sleigh as he travels the globe. Available on channel 98 in English and Spanish NOW. My 6 year old has been tuned in since she was 3 years old! It is so much fun to see the look on her face, at midnight, on Christmas Eve night, when the tv announces that Santa has arrived in Detroit! She freaks out in excitement, then falls asleep!

PLEASE  watch the video below to learn more about THE SANTA TRACKER APP!!

I would highly recommend tuning in with your children of ALL ages. There are numerous activities you can participate in. On Christmas Eve, each hour, a live news report comes on. The reporters show on the map where Santa is, what is he doing, and where he will be next. I find this so fascinating, not to mention educational. The only issue my daughter and I both have is that we can not record it! Seems funny, but it is so exciting to hear your area announced!

To see my daughter’s short, but sweet interview pertaining to the Santa Tracker, please watch this video!

As a side note, I wanted to mention a few other great channels that AT&T U-verse has.

•    Karaoke TV App – With the Karaoke TV App on channel 96, you can choose your favorite holiday song.
•    Yule Log – Set the perfect holiday mood at home with the U-verse Yule Log. Available on SD (channel 400) and on the HD Showcase Channel (channel 1400).

I must admit, we have lots of fun with the Karaoke TV app and found the Yule Log very relaxing. My daughter, who has tons of energy was like, ‘Mommy, what are we watching??? I want to sing and see Santa!!!” KIDS!!

We have been AT&T U-verse subscribers since 2008. We have been very pleased! So, pleased that my parents have switched their cable provider too. Not to mention, our cell phone service and wireless is through AT&T. That Santa Tracker just gives us 1 more reason why we choose to stick with them! I hope you take the time to watch! You won’t be sorry! Hope you all end up on the good list, NOT the naughty one! Merry Christmas!

DISNEY ON ICE 100 YEARS OF MAGIC REVIEW

IMG_1417fix (800x664)

sponsored-post-script-600

WOW! Is literally all I can say! Just when I think, Disney on Ice can’t get any better – IT DOES! On October 18, 2013, our family was lucky enough to attend the show with our Daisy troop! Not only were we there for some family fun, BUT it happened to be Scout Night at the Palace. All the girls, received a commemorative patch and memories worth a lifetime. It was adorable to see how excited these 6 year old were. The show covered so many memories, it made me want to go back to Disney! I LOVE in the picture above just watching how in awe these little girls are watching all of the princesses, characters, and effects!!!

We saw Mickey and the gang, Finding Nemo, Mulan, small stories about ALL the princesses, Pinocchio, It’s A Small World, The Lion King – and more! It went by so quickly, I didn’t want it to end! Each parent came to me and specifically thanked me for planning this trip for our troop! I was so happy, because the adults enjoyed it too! I would highly recommend attended this show if it comes back to Detroit, or near! We even got to see Jiminy Cricket!!! LOVE HIM!

IMG_1411fix (800x466)I would honestly like to thank Feld Entertainment for hosting such an amazing show and the Palace for creating these fun events for Scouts to attend! One more thing, just a side note – can we please figure out a better container to keep the $12.00 snow cones in??!!! Of the 17 girls from our troop that attended, at least 6 or 7 spilled it, my daughter included.

Furthermore, $12.00 for a snow cone? I love Disney, but I do not love snow cones THAT much!!! I wish they could decrease some of those prices a bit…. but to see the smiles on these adorable faces during the show, rainbow – from the snow cones, makes it all worth it in the end!!!!

Nestlé COFFEE-MATE® Introduces Girl Scout Pick for New Ad

NESTLÉ COFFEE-MATE® Introduces Star of New Commercial
Local Wisconsin Girl Scout Lands Dream Role

GLENDALE, CA (October 14, 2013) – In celebration of NESTLÉ’S special edition COFFEE-MATE® Girl Scouts® creamers, the brand conducted a nationwide “Scout the Girl Scout” casting call to find an authentic Girl Scout to be featured in its commercial.  Today, it announced that 10-year-old Abby, a Girl Scout Junior in troop number 53022 from Girl Scouts of Wisconsin and Minnesota River Valleys, will star in a nationwide television spot for the new Girl Scout Cookie™-inspired Thin Mints® and Caramel and Coconut flavored creamers, which will debut today on networks such as NBC, ABC and CBS.

“We were thrilled with the response to our casting call and were so impressed by all of the submissions,” said Gabe Chua, COFFEE-MATE Marketing Manager.  “Abby won us over with her genuine spirit and talent because she truly personifies the values of the Girl Scouts organization.”

Abby was selected by a judging panel from among more than 600 online and in-person auditions, which then led to call-backs for subsequent rounds of auditions.  From those call-backs, the submissions were narrowed down until the judging panel landed on Abby as the star of the new COFFEE-MATE Girl Scouts commercial.

For Abby, being involved with the Girl Scouts organization is a family affair with her mother serving as her troop leader and her father as treasurer of the service unit.  When the opportunity to combine her love of acting and involvement in the organization came about, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to submit a video.  Abby has been actively involved in Girl Scouts since kindergarten and has completed several Girl Scout Journeys.  This year, her troop is pursuing the Bronze Award by raising awareness of pet homelessness and supporting the establishment of a local shelter through a pet food drive.

After learning she landed the role and finishing her fifth grade homework, this small-town Girl Scout from River Falls, WI, was whisked away to the entertainment capital of the world.  While Abby has previously graced the stage at her local community theater, this was her first time seeing the Hollywood lights and starring in a mainstream commercial.

Donning a Girl Scout Junior uniform, Abby recently wrapped the new COFFEE-MATE commercial where she questions what an office worker did to deserve COFFEE-MATE Girl Scout Thin Mints flavored creamer, given that it is “one of the most delicious Girl Scout Cookie flavors ever.”

In the short-term, Abby hopes to continue acting, although her career aspiration is to be a member of Congress. To view the newly released commercial and behind-the-scenes footage of Abby’s journey, please visit www.girlscouts.coffee-mate.com.
