52nd Annual Art and Apples Festival in Rochester

As we wrap up summer and head into fall, one of my favorite family friendly events takes place the weekend after Labor Day in Rochester’s Municipal Park. Celebrating its 52nd year, the Arts and Apples Festival features nearly 300 talented artists from around the country. The festival includes fun activities for all ages including fresh apple treats, live entertainment and music, and a Kids Art Zone. New this year is the opportunity for children to help decorate a “monster mural” celebrating the City of Rochester’s 200th anniversary.

The entertainment line up features local high school marching bands, dancers from local dance studios, and various other local and national acts. There will also be a variety of food options with three food courts including fresh apple pies, BBQ goodies, Polish fare and more. Presented by Paint Creek Center for the Arts, the festival is Michigan’s second largest juried fine art festival.
