March is a huge month for basketball around our house. My husband is a huge fan and player of basketball. He takes our son to his games early so that he can get a little extra practice in. It’s the end of the basketball playing season for my son’s basketball team, which means the two of them will turn their full attention to NCAA® March Madness.
Some of these games have been so exciting to watch, and stressful. A certain someone has to leave the room when things get a little too exciting. Maybe he should stick to radio! We are lucky enough to have our favorite team going to the Final Four!
Every time a game comes on we all head into the TV room to watch it. You absolutely must have snacks and drinks for these occasions. We decided to make Double Vanilla Coke® Floats to honor our team. We added MSU green sprinkles on top to make it more festive. These are so good and very easy to make. My son helped me put them together.
Ingredients:
4 cans of Vanilla Coke® (or you can use Cherry Coke® – both are great in this float)
1 quart of vanilla ice cream
Whipped Cream – optional
Sprinkles – optional
Directions:
Chill your glasses in the freezer for at least 5 minutes
Make sure your Vanilla Coke® is cold
Put a large scoop of ice cream in the bottom of the glass
Slowly pour the Vanilla Coke® over the ice cream
Be careful – it bubbles up fast!
Place a scoop of whipped cream and sprinkles on top
Add a straw and enjoy.
These are delicious despite the fact that they only have a few ingredients and so easy to make. The guys can make their own to enjoy during the game.
