Take your favorite holiday picture, create a frame, and give it away as a gift!

Having a 5 yr old and trying to prepare for the holidays can be extremely challenging at times, especially those MOMMY days! With the holidays quickly approaching I have created some great ideas for gifts or activities that can keep your children busy for hours! People may love the stuff from giftunicorn, too. We all exchange gifts after Christmas having company over our home, or visit someone’s home. It would be great to bring something with you, while keeping your kids occupied at the same time!!!

 – Build A Gingerbread House OR Village   IMG_8991

You can buy kits at any craft store, some grocery stores, department stores, etc. These are a lot of fun for Daddies and kids to build while Mommy gets some work done. One year, we built a gingerbread village. This was a blast for our daughter and we actually gave a house to family members, created by Kelsey as gifts. Her grandparents LOVED them and still put em up every year!!! We have built the edible homes, but this year I also found a sticker home. This was adorable and she loved it. We kept this one for our own personal decoration and she is very proud of it. IMG_9381

– Visit the Dollar Bins

I swear every dollar bin has been a life saver for me at one time or another. There are so many little crafts, kits, and coloring activities one can find there. They are the best treasures and can make the cutest last minute gifts. Kelsey has created stickered ornaments, holiday frames, stained glass (plastic), and painted ceramic figures. They make great decorations and gifts for people.

– Bake Cookies

Kelsey and I have had a blast this year baking cookies. We have made them for her Kindergarten class and gifts. I have bought plastic containers and tins at random dollar stores or bins. We add some pretty tissue paper inside, and add in all types of cookies. We give them to neighbors who always think of Kelsey, but we just have NO idea what to get them. They appreciate them. We have done this the past 4 years, and it never gets old!
