The Kid Dictionary by Eric Ruhalter

We all know that kids do some really funny and sometimes weird things.  Eric Ruhalter’s brand new 214 page book is filled with funny “words to describe the indescribable things kids do”.  The book got more than a few laughs out me.   It is a very clever book that will surely put a smile on your face.  I think it would make a great baby shower gift.  Here are some of my favorites from the book:

Harricane: a girl’s knotty, messy hair and the ensuing tantrums that erupt when her mother tries to comb it out.

Garboflage: To hide a piece of your child’s artwork under other trash in the wastebasket so he/she doesn’t catch you throwing it away.

Momikaze: A mother whose children push her to the vey brink of her sanity.

Lessay: A composition written by a middle schooler that is not one single letter longer than it needs to be.

Discoolification: A parent’s gradual transformation of being his child’s hero to being his greatest source of embarrassment.

Stornado:  A child who is a complete nightmare to bring to the store because he has to touch everything and/or relentlesly try to get you to buy something.

The book runs a very affordable $9.99 on Amazon while the kindle version retails for $7.99 also on Amazon – release date is March 1, 2012.

Disclosure – I received a free copy of the book to facilitate this review.
