It’s That Time of Year Again – Flu Shots!

Both my husband and son get their flu shots every year.  They both suffer from asthma so I know how important it is to help protect them from getting the flu.  This year my husband visited the walk-in Minute Clinic inside the Rochester Hills CVS drugstore for his flu shot.  No appointment is necessary and they have evening and weekend hours so it can be really convenient.  They have a nurse practitioner on staff to administer the vaccine.  While they do make it easy – it did take more than a few minutes to get the shot – he waited over 30 minutes before receive the vaccine.  While he may have had to wait longer than he would have liked – it’s still better than getting the darn flu. The flu is miserable and can be downright dangerous for some people. According to the CDC getting the flu vaccine is the number one way to prevent getting the flu.

One down and one to go, my son doesn’t like getting the flu shot but he hates being sick even more.

The cost of the vaccine runs approximately thirty dollar’s, but remember The Minute Clinic accepts most insurance plans.

Disclosure:  My husband received his flu vaccine at no charge.   All comments, opinions and photos are my own and are honest.  He does not like getting shots and said the fact that it was free didn’t really make it any better.
