Private Tour of 77Kids

It’s about time a hip, new children’s clothing store opened for kids.  For a long time the only children’s clothing shopping has been the Gap Kids, Gymboree, Justice, The Children’s Place and department stores.  There really hasn’t been any new, cool places to shop until… 77kids arrived at the Twelve Oaks Mall!

77 kids has three types of clothing… preppy, sporty and trendy for boys and girls.  Their sizes start at 0-18mos and go to 18mos-5T all the way up to size 5-14 for the bigger kids.  Each size section has it’s own clothing, so you won’t find the same graphic tee’s in 18mos-5T that you see in 5-14.  Right now they are in Spring and the trend is graphic tee’s and scarfs on the girls side and graphic tee’s and shorts on the boys side.  Some of their tee’s are 3D, so when you walk into the store, they hand you a pair of 3D glasses and stickers.

My favorite things about the new store were the great prices and fun clothing.  I purchased my 2,4 and 7 year old graphic tee’s and scarfs, I grabbed 2 cute beaded peace bracelets for my older girls at B1G1 1/2 off, a cute distressed with sequins denim skirt for my 4 year old and a darling pair of Steve Madden gladiator style sandals for my 7 year old.  I loved that they had everything you’d need to dress your child from head to toe.

I didn’t run into the problem of not finding a size I needed, but I loved to hear that if I did, I could pay for the item and 77kids would ship it to my home within 3-5 days, free of charge.  I also loved that ALL of their pants and shorts have the adjustable bands in the waist.  That is a huge plus in my book!

My kids loved the photo booth!  They got to take their photos, write their name on the photo and decorate it.  When they were done, the photo was waiting for them up at the register to take home.  Fun!  They also liked the front of the register which is a huge chalk board that they can decorate while mom is paying for their new digs.  There was also a candy bar!  Oh my!  That was probably my least favorite thing in the store because I’m not a big fan of giving my kids candy in the a.m., or anytime while out because it only makes them hyper and harder to manage while shopping.

All in all… great store!  I give them props for originality.  They  have some very innovative concepts throughout the store to make shopping enjoyable for the kids, but there is no getting away from the stress of shopping with three kids, one being 2.  With all of the fun interactive activities in the store, there is no way my kids would sit still in a stroller while I shopped.  I think bringing my husband is still a must so that I can shop without the stress of watching the kids.  They definitely won’t be bored in 77kids!

I also loved the prices, especially the sale prices!  They were great!  I also got a 20% off coupon to bring back on my next trip which will go nicely with the already marked down deals.  The summer line is suppose to hit stores on April 12 and the line will be the surfer look.  They already had some of their swim suits in and they were DARLING!  I plan on going back to pick up the girls suits for summer.

The store manager told me that if you “like” 77kids on Facebook you will see daily coupon deals on their Facebook page.

I was invited to take a private tour of the 77kids store at Twelve Oaks Mall and give a gift card to help with my purchase.  My above opinions are honest and my own.
