Fun Web Finds: Eagle cam

What’s more captivating than watching a decorah eagle sit on her giant nest and await the arrival of her little eagles? Not much. This eagle has captured the attention of many people from around the world via her nest cam. Now you and your family can check in too.

The Raptor Resource Project set up the nest cam nearly 80 feet high to capture the hatching of the eggs. The nest sits in the trees above a fish hatchery in Decorah, Iowa. A live stream of the video is online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. At night, an infrared camera gives viewers night vision abilities to look in on the eagle.

The first hatchling appeared on Saturday, April 2 and the second on April 3. A third is expected to hatch any day now.

From the Decorah Eagles Ustream, you can chat with others watch the birds, learn more about the eagles and get links to other bird cams.
