Kensington Metropark offers Hayrides and Sleighrides, Sledding

Horse drawn hayrides or sleigh rides are available for families and individuals at the Kensington Metropark Farm Center.

Public Rides are from noon-4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Horse drawn hayrides, both public and private charters, are subject to change to tractor drawn rides; dependent upon weather and trail conditions. Sleigh rides require a minimum of 6-8 inches of snow base on the ground. The cost for the ride is $3 for children 3-12 and seniors and $5 for adults. Children two-years-old and under are free. All rides are wheelchair accessible.

While you are at the park, take a ride down one of the sledding hills. Kensington Metropark offers several hills, from bunny hills for sledders 36″ or less in height to advanced hills. The toboggan runs, sledding and beginning snowboarding hills are located in the Orchard picnic areas.

Kensington does not rent toboggans, snowboards or sleds. Hours of snow hill operations are 11 a.m. to dusk on weekdays and 10 a.m. to dusk on weekends. Check r hill conditions at the Kensington Metropark website and click Park Conditions.

Private hayrides and sleigh rides are available. For more information on the hayrides/sleigh rides or sledding, contact the Kensington Metro Park at (248) 685-1561.
