Anticipation is building in Frankenmuth this week, as workers prepare the single and double blocks of snow for carving in the upcoming Zehnder’s 20th annual Snowfest!

I watch for this every January. Sure, I could check the web site (https://www.zehnders.com/zehnderssnowfest/), but checking to see if the blocks are being built is more fun. 🙂 I know then that it’s only a matter of a week or so until all the fun starts. We try to go over at least once a year, but often I make it more. I love to watch the development of the sculptures, both snow and ice, over time.

They have snow sculpting competitions on all levels: world, college, high school, and elementary.

Drove through Frankenmuth again today. The teams are starting work on their snow sculptures already. Hope you can make it up sometime this week to see all the snow and ice sculptures!!
