Moonlight Hayrides

Friday, October 15 from 7 pm – 9:30 pm, Stony Creek Nature Center
Come enjoy the beauty of the fall season with a nature-themed wagon ride through the woods and a bonfire with music, cider, donuts and marshmallow roasting. This is for families and individuals only; no scout groups please. Fee: $6 per person. Preregistration and prepayment required. Evening Lantern Tours

Friday, October 15 at 7 pm & 8:30 pm, Oakwoods Nature Center

Take a hayride followed by a lantern-lit hike around our nature trails where a host of interesting characters are sure to make you laugh, learn and have a great time. Enjoy cider and cookies in the Nature Center before taking another hayride back to your car. Tickets: $8 per person; advance ticket sales only, beginning September 1st. Family Fun Days

Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17, noon to 4 p.m., Kensington Nature Center

Pick Your Pumpkin Hayrides

Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17 from noon to 4 pm, Kensington Farm Center
Take a hayride to and from the farm’s pumpkin patch where you can pick your favorite Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin. Hayride fees are: adults $5, children and seniors $3, children 2 years and younger free. Pumpkins are priced according to size. For more information, please call 248-684-8632 or

Pumpkin, Cider & Donut Wagon Rides

Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17  from noon – 3 pm
Wolcott Mill Farm Center

Come enjoy an autumn day at the farm and join us for a tractor-drawn (weather permitting) wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch.  Pick your own Halloween pumpkin.  Then come in and savor a cup of fresh made cider and a donut brought over from one of our local cider mills.

Pumpkins purchased seperately, prices vary depending on size.
No preregistration necessary for this event.

Farm Halloween

Wolcott Mill Farm Center, Sunday, October 17 from noon – 3 pm

Fall Fireworks: The Changing of the Leaves

Sunday, October 17 at 1 pm, Indian Springs Environmental Discovery Center
Find out why leaves change color in autumn and why many grasses change color, too. Enjoy the brilliant seasonal display and head outside to learn the exciting science of it all.  Fee: $2 per person.
