**Review** Support a Michigan company, diabetes research

I came across Michele Luzier and Blue Water Scentsations by accident, but it was certainly a happy accident.

Labor Day 2009, I was visiting the Algonac art and craft fair. I was browsing around and saw Michele’s display of handmade was melts, candles and other awesome smelling products. I must have opened every melt she had there to sample each one. I ended up buying a bunch of them of varying scents.

Michele offers two sizes of melts and not only do they smell amazing but they last quite a while. I contacted Blue Water Scentsations around Christmas time to order a stash for my family and friends. I received a few samples of her soap as well and it was so amazing. It made my skin feeling incredibly silky! I recently met up with Blue Water Scentsations again a few weeks ago to stock up on melts and to pick up one of the warmers that Blue Water Scentsations offers because I really like the way it worked. I plan to pick up some more of them soon.

Blue Water Scentsations also offers air fresheners, candles, lotions, soaps, linen sprays and even laundry detergent. All of the products smell amazing, last a long time and are incredibly affordable. Blue Water Scentsations also has things like melters, candle holders, wick dippers, bath puffs and other items.

When I made my first purchase from Blue Water Scentsations a year ago, I began following Michele on Twitter. We connected over a few topics throughout the year and her personal touches and customer services were one of the reasons I continued to seek out her products and meet up with her at other craft shows.

Last week, I approached Blue Water Scentsations about donating sale proceeds to my family’s fundraising goal for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation walk in Warren on Sept. 26. Michele eagerly agreed.

Michigan-owned company contributing to Michigangaders. That’s what we like to see.

From Monday, Sept. 13 through Friday, Sept. 17, Blue Water Scentsations will donate 15 percent of their sales to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  Check out the site and buy a few things. You will not be disappointed in the products and your dollars go to help find a cure for diabetes.

I was not provided any products for this review but donations are being made to my family’s fundraising goal from Blue Water Scentsations.
