Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey invite kids to get CircusFit

With summer in full swing, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® want to remind kids and parents the importance of staying active with an invitation to take part in free interactive CircusFit® events July 15-17 at the Downtown Farmington Founders Festival.

Children of all ages will have the chance to learn the FUNdamentals of fitness alongside professional Ringling clowns, and will learn how to take an action-packed approach to healthy living. CircusFit® activities include juggling, jump rope, balance beam, hula hoop and more.

Each child who participates will receive Ringling Bros. goodies while supplies last and will have the chance to meet and greet some of the clowns.

CircusFit® presentations will take place at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Kids Stage on Main Street at the municipal parking lot behind the Farmington Public Library.

The free 45-minute CircusFit® events are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, July 15 at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Friday, July 16 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 17 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Additional circus-themed activities will take place all day at the ‘Meijer Go Playground’ during the festival.

CircusFit® is a national fitness program that encourages America’s youth to lead healthy, active lifestyles by combining the fun of circus skills with stretching, strength building and aerobic exercises. Lessons are designed to motivate kids to get up and move with games and activities that are more play than work. Free fitness plans and activities are available at www.circusfit.com.
