On August 7th and 8th the 14th annual Dancin’ in the Street will take place in downtown Rochester.  Featuring live music, a taste fest, children’s crafts, a pet pagent and so much more.

This years Dancin’ in the Street will feature music by the 1980’s tribute band Square Pegs, tunes from the 50’s and 60’s from Legend of the Band and 1970’s Boogie Dynomite.

Dancin’ in the Street kicks off on Friday, August 7th with demostrations from the Oakland University dance and cheer teams and the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble will perform August 8th at noon and the Mirage Bellydance demonstration will be at 5 p.m.

On August 8th from 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. there will be a kids craft session and face painting by the Painted Pot.  The pet pagent will be held this year at 4 p.m.

This event will be held rain or shine.

Dancin’ in the Street is located on Fourth Street, between Main and Walnut.
