Water Disruption July 1- July 2

The Detroit Water and Sewage Dapartment (DWSD) will be performing a repair on a water liner at Auburn and Dequindre on July 1, 2009. 

The DWSD plans to begin work on the water line at 7:00 p.m. on July 1, 2009, and plans to conclude work at 7:00 a.m. on July 2, 2009.  During this time your home may experience a loss of water pressure.

As a precaution, the City of Rochester is issuing a Boil Water Alert beginning July 1, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.  Go to https://ci.rochester.mi.us and view “Top Stories” for the most updated information.

What should you do?

  • Fill containers of water before 7 p.m.  on July 1, 2009 for use during the water loss period and for drinking use for a period of approximately three days after July 1, 2009.
  • The Rochester Fire Department, 227 East Second Street, will have water available in emergency situations.  The Fire Department will also have water available for residents.  Please bring your clean water containers.
  • Bathe the kids and brush their teeth before 7 p.m. on July 1, 2009
