Rochester Municipal Park

The weather was glorious this past weekend!  One of those weekends where it would be a sin to stay inside and miss the fresh air, clear skys and beautiful season changes that are taking place.  So, my first instinct was to take the girls to the park since who knows when we will have weather like this again, or for that matter…for how long.  So, we packed the scooters, some drinks and snacks, the camera and a bag to pick up some pretty Fall leaves and headed on over to the Rochester Municipal Park.

So far, this is the only park we have explored and just about the only park that has been recommended and once you set foot in this park, you will see why!  There are four play structures, two at each end of the park one at the north end (off Ludlow Street) and a tot lot at the south end (at the end of Pine Street) .  At each end there is one suited for toddlers and one for the bigger kids and both  ends are equipped with swings for babies and bigger kids.  There is a creek that runs through the park that has ducks, so bring some bread for feeding, and bridges to walk over.  And, did I mention, a path that is great for walking, running, biking and scootering.

There are picnic tables throughout the park and covered picnic areas too.  Don’t worry about the kids having to go to the bathroom and having to make a mad dash home.  There are bathrooms and water fountains…how convenient!
